Karamadazi Mine

Karamadazi Mine is close to Çubuklu village of Kayseri. Karamadazi consists of an open pit mine which was commissioned in 1949 and an underground mine. It is one of the oldest iron ore mines in Turkey. Karamadazi’s proven and probable reserves are 3 million tons.

Karamadazi’s ore is magnetite and its average Fe grade is 45%. Following crushing and sizing, fine magnetite ore is enriched to 60%-62% Fe grade by dry and wet separators.
