Özkoyuncu Mining was founded by Mustafa Koyuncu, Ali Rıza Özderici and Mehmet Ekiz as an ordinary partnership in 1949. Özkoyuncu is the sole private iron ore procuder in Turkey.

Özkoyuncu Mining was reestablished as Limited Partnership.

Annual production of iron ore reached 60.000 tons.

The first undergound iron ore mine of Turkey started production in Karamadazı

Elmadağ mine has started production.

Menteş mine has started production. Annual production surpassed 100.000 tons.

Attepe mine has started production.

Annual Production surpassed 500.000 tons.

Annual Production surpassed 1.000.000 tons.

Annual Production surpassed 2.000.000 tons.

Annual Production surpassed 2.500.000 tons.

Karaçat West Sector undergound mining commenced. Özkoyuncu Madencilik reestablished as a joint stock partnership.

Production continues in Attepe, Karaçat, Elmadağ, Karakızoluğu, Dikme and Karamadazı mines.
